Nurturing Learner-Centered Education

The CLCIR will host the second annual recognition ceremonies for faculty on June 7, 2006 with the theme "Nurturing Learner-Centered Education". It will be held at the CSB Auditorium, 1:00-2:30pm.

On this special occasion, our office will honor faculty members who have become our partners in promoting learner-centeredness through instruction, research and instructional technologies. Recognition will also be given to schools, centers, and offices that have rendered the most participation in CLCIR activities.

See you there!

Nice posting. I like the CLCIR logo. Care to explain the significance of the logo elements?

Hi Caths! Thanks for the comment. I wish to be clarified, though. Are you asking about the CLCIR logo itself or the design of our invitation for the said event?

The CLCIR logo depicts a person in motion. Simply put, it says, "Developing People, Managing Change". Sounds good, looks good, don't you think so?

As for the design of this year's invitation for the Annual Recognition Ceremony (you are cordially invited, of course!), we dwelt on curves...learning curves. During the presentation, the audience will be treated to a show as to how each element (curve) in the design will morph into something else...(the morphs will help explain the elements).

We hope you can attend so you will see our presentation. So as for now, the morphed curves are still a secret...

HAve a nice day!

Thanks for the explanation, Odie. Sorry but I cannot attend this year's event. I'm on my staggered service leave that week. I'm sending a representative to claim my award, though. Congratulations on a great concept.
